After working for a large plaintiffs personal injury law firm, Lee Heit, Attorney at Law PC was formed in 2001 so Lee could provide the same experienced and quality legal services of a large law firm to select clients to enable personal & individual attention they deserve from an experienced litigator. Most importantly you are not another case file lost in the legal system, but a person who has constant contact with their attorney who is actively assisting you with your needs while trying to reach a quick resolution of your action.
For over thirty years Lee Heit, Esq. has focused on accident cases that resulted in personal injuries. Lee allows her clients to focus on their recovery while she handles their legal matters. She understands how personal injuries don't just affect the injured party, but their entire family. A quick resolution for a personal injury action is extremely important, as it is common for an injured person who cannot work to be forced to decide if their money should be used for medical treatment, food or rent.
Lee Heit is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut.
After recognizing the need for experienced defense litigators Lee worked as a defense attorney with insurance companies, private individuals, municipalities and public authorities as both a solo practitioner, of counsel and as an associate with defense law firms. As a defense attorney it has always been the goal of maintaining a relationship with her clients and resolution of the matter as reasonable and as quickly as possible though negotiation and/or litigation.
Lee is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers, Nassau Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and Suffolk County Bar Association. Lee was a member and past chair of the Half Hollow Hills Legislation Committee for over twelve years.
Lee has been practicing law since 1993. Lee Heit, Esq. also worked “of counsel” to law firms on cases including commercial litigation, personal injury (plaintiffs and defense), family law, common law negligence, collection litigation, real estate, wills and court appearances for multiple law firms that required her expertise.
Lee has been recognized, on multiple occasions, for the work she as done as Chair of the Advisory Board of Island Harvest, the largest Long Island Food Bank, a non-profit charitable organization that helps provide food to those facing food insecurity.
